LUSH, Oxford Street - EBONI + IVORY

LUSH, Oxford Street

Hey Guys,

Last week I found myself in central London for an event and thought I’d pop into a few shops on Oxford Street and check out the sales. As it was a Saturday afternoon, it was so busy and I really don’t like crowds so I didn’t spend too long or go into many shops, however I did make an impeccable decision to go into LUSH for the first time in the Flagship store. It was amazing!

I know LUSH are very well known for two things in particular; their beautiful fragrance you can smell miles away, and bath bombs! As I only have a shower in my apartment, I find that when I actually have the opportunity to have a bath, it becomes a Big Event! Candles, bubble bath, music/movie, fairy lights, green tea... the works! So I thought that I would get myself one of their famous bath bombs to try at my next bath event.

What I discovered, through the help of the wonderful Robert and manager Danni, was that LUSH is full of amazing scents, textures and products that are carefully thought about in every way from the story behind a scent, to the flowering sugar-paper roses and heart-confetti that fills your bath upon the explosion of a bath bomb.

I am a fan of a lot of sweet scents and refreshing scents so I tend to steer towards the pink products and green/blue products. LUSH have such a wide variety of scents that you are bound to find something you love (often after going on a scent journey where you had to kiss a few froggy scents to find your prince scent!) That was certainly the case for me, but in the end I settled for two main items:

1. Sex Bomb Bath Bomb 200g (top
)
Robert let me test out a whole one of these before buying! The LUSH policy is that testing products are encouraged! So I was able to know that this scent and texture worked for me before purchasing- which is just amazing. Sex Bomb is bright pink and releases essential oils such as Jasmine, Ylang Ylang and Clary Sage. It smells incredible.

2. Creamy Candy Bubble Bar (bottom)
I had never heard of the LUSH bubble bar’s before. They work like a bomb, but create huge bubbles at the same time! I love bubble baths and was told that these bubbles can get really huge! I just need to break off about a quarter, so this will last me for a few baths. Again, as the name suggests, this is a very sweet scent, with ingredients such as Fair Trade organic cocoa butter, Almond oil and Fair Trade vanilla absolute.

As I came to the end of my browse with Robert he surprised me with a gift! He gave me a tub of “Ro’s Argan Body Conditioner”

It was such a kind gesture which I was not expecting at all! I was also given a sample trio of LUSH soaps in a wide range of scents;

1. Figs and Leaves Soap

2. Porridge Soap

3. Sandstone Soap

My favourite is the yellow Sandstone Soap. It has a refreshing lemon scent that is just perfect for this sunny weather.

Thank you so much to everyone at the LUSH Oxford Street for making my first visit fabulous! I would love to come back for an activity or Spa visit!
