Kiehl's Skincare Review (Part 1)*

Hey Guys,

So I was recently lucky enough to receive an exciting package! It contained four awesome products from Kiehl's that's I could not wait to start using!
Here is "Part 1"; a round up of two out of the four products I have been testing, along with my honest thoughts and reviews.

1. "Super Multi-Corrective Cream"

"Lifts, smoothes, sculps, moisturizes and retexturizes skin
SPF 30 Broad Spectrum UB Protection helps protect skin from early signs of aging caused by the sun
Paraben Free, Safe for sensitive skin"

I think this cream is really lovely for using overnight. I find the texture a tad too oily for the daytime (especially during the summer) but find it is great for applying at night time. I have spot-prone skin that tends to like some products and dislike others, however, this cream has not caused any additional breakouts for me at all. The thickness and consistency of the product leaves my skin feeling deeply nourished and hydrated whilst also working it's corrective magic on my problem areas. Here are Kiehl's tips for use:
After treating skin with the serum of your choice, moisturize to lock in treatment benefits and provide all-day hydration.
At £49.00 per pot (gasp!), I am savouring this product by using just a few times a week. I think my skin benefits from oily product days as well as light gel-based product days to keep me balanced.

My Results:
I have been using the multi-corrective cream along with the micro-dermabrasion (below) for a few weeks now, and together, they are working seamlessly together to help me create a complexion I have recently been showing off in public! Until recently, I hadn't been out in public without make up on, especially not to work! I truly feel that using these Kiehl's products, along with drinking heaps of water, has contributed to this newly found skin-confidence and I love it!

2. "Epidermal Re-Texturizing Micro-Dermabrasion"

I think Kiehl's read my mind with this one! Up until recently, I had been thinking about getting a professional micro-dermabrasion treatment and had been Googling it non stop for about a week! So when I saw this, I was firstly, a little scared as it is quite a serious product (nothing like your average scrub!) and secondly just so excited to try it out and reap the rewards!
I did a lot of research into this product at first, to find out how other people have found using it and if there was a particular technique to using the it. It turns out there is! So this is a product is extremely rewarding when used correctly but if abused, can be a little damaging. I would recommend going in extremely lightly in general and build on that, using your judgement, once you have seen the initial results.

Here are the official Kiehl's instructions:

How to Apply
:-Dispense a nickel-sized amount of the exfoliating cream into the palm of the hand
-Utilizing fingertips, gently apply to clean, damp skin in an upward and outward circular motion, avoiding the eye area
-Continue treatment for approximately 30 seconds, but no more than two minutes, to achieve desired effect
-Monitoring skin sensitivity closely, you may increase pressure slightly to enhance treatment results
-With eyes closed, rinse with cool water and gently pat dry
It is suggested that you use this product 2-3 times a week. At the moment, due to my fluctuating skin problems, I have been sticking to once a week. As my skin confidence grows, I think I will up this dosage to twice.

My results:
So far, I have noticed the slight discolouring on my forehead (leftover from some bad spots) has faded. There are some light marks left, however I am now able to cover these completely with just an extra-light dab of foundation, where before I had to use a fair bit of concealer for a couple areas alongside foundation.
I have also notice an initial smoothness to my skin after using this product and I feel that my skin is more absorbent to post-exfoliation creams and gels.
Going forward (I expect this product to last a good, long while) I hope to see even more of a change in my forehead colouration. I also hope to use this product to keep my pores decongested.

I hope you enjoyed this 'lil round up and it may have given you some inspiration for your next purchase or to pop your Kiehl's cherry with a shiny new facial product!
