Afternoon Tea at Cobbles Tea Room, Rye

Afternoon Tea at Cobbles Tea Room, Rye

Hey Guys,
Today's post is a little bit of a throwback to last summer, which saw me and my friends travelling across the south of England, visiting the most 'Instagrammable' locations. There were many fantastic places that we were able to see, including this beautifully quaint tea room, down a cobbled street of Rye, Kent.
Rye is a lovely, small town, close the the coasts of Winchelsea and Camber Sands. It has all the necessary staples of an southern English town; antique markets, fish & chip shops and even a castle! However, it was the homely facade of this tea and cake cafe, that I had seen just a year before on a family trip, that stuck in my mind and I knew I had to visit one day.The menu is fairly priced and the portions are generous. From between £4.50 and £8.50, you can choose a combination of food that is each served with a pot of tea. From sandwiches, scones and slices of cake, the menu allows you to mix and match, depending on what you fancy and how hungry you are!
The carrot cake was my number one choice, as my favourite cake, but I also enjoyed the buttery scones with clotted cream and jam. Other cake options include Lemon Drizzle, Victoria Sponge, Coffee and Walnut and Chocolate cake. They even have a dairy and gluten free cake called the "Elizabeth".
Overall, I would say this spot is the perfect location to not only grab a gorgeous picture for your instagram feed, but to also indulge in a wonderful, British treat and even make a new feathery friend!
What is your favourite cake flavour?
