25hours Hotel: The Circle, Cologne

25hours Hotel: The Circle, Cologne

Hey Guys,
It's been a little while since I last went away on a city break. After Paris and Amsterdam last summer, I was ready to get back on the Eurostar for another adventure!
I last visited Germany in 2014, when I spent a few days in Berlin with a friend. This time, it was Cologne I would be visiting; home of the Hohenzollern Bridge, Kölner Dom and Wonder Waffles! I had such a wonderful stay at 25hours Hotel Paris, that it seemed like the natural place to call home whilst in Cologne.
Our first night was kindly gifted in exchange for this blog post, however, we paid press rate for the final two nights.

Just like in Paris, the 25hours Hotel, The Circle, pays close attention to detail and design, with every inch of the hotel being styled to perfection. The theme "spirit of the '60s and future utopias" greets you in the reception and carries through into the elevators, which are becoming somewhat of an "instagrammable" landmark of Cologne themselves! (See below).
We were staying in the gorgeous room 630, with views over Cologne and the famous TV tower. The room was spacious and comfortable, boasting many fancy features:
free high-speed Wi-Fi
air conditioning
UE Boom Bluetooth speakers
rain shower head
Smart TV
FREITAG or canvasco bag for use during your stay
Schindelhauer bikes for rent
free MINI hire
I loved the colours and decor in the room - there were a few lovely plants scattered around, as well as a great "office nook" for catching up on work and huge windows that let in lots of light.
Small room details such as the heated floor button for the bathroom, screencast feature on the TV, complimentary shampoo and a stocked mini fridge, really made me feel welcome and comfortable. Even the tiniest thing like USB wall ports (great for charging your phone without a country adaptor) were so appreciated!
Breakfast, just like in Paris, was outstanding! The format is a buffet (the best kind of hotel breakfast) with breads, pastries, fruits, meats and hot options, every day! There is a choice of hot drinks, freshly squeezed orange juice and even a bottle of prosecco, should you be feeling that way inclined! The 25hour Hotel breakfasts are really something to look forward to; served in the restaurant, Neni, surrounded by uninterrupted views of Cologne. By night, the views are gorgeous, with sunsets on clear days. Had it been a little warmer during our visit, I would have loved to dine at one of the outdoor seating positions!I hope you enjoyed this look into 25hours Hotel, The Circle in Cologne! Thank you to 25hours Hotels for a wonderful stay!
