Instagram Guide to...Cologne!

Hey Guys,

Today, I have another Instagram/photography inspired post to inspire your travelling plans. This time, based in Cologne, Germany! You may notice from these shots, that the weather wasn't the best, so do excuse the cloudy skies, but I hope you have luck with the weather should you find yourself in Cologne!

Hohenzollern Bridge
(view from outside Grissini Restaurant)
Kennedy-Ufer 2a, 50679 Köln, Germany

This was one of my favourite spots in Cologne. I loved the walk from the cathedral, over the Hohenzollern Bridge, which was covered in love locks. We ended up at this wall, overlooking the path we had just tread.

Fischmarkt
Am Leystapel, 50667 Köln, Germany

These pastel-coloured houses are a must-see spot for Cologne visitors. Although the area was extremely quiet, with none of the shops actually open, it was still a great place to get a photo and to appreciate the pretty colours of Cologne.

25hours Hotel Koeln The Circle
Im Klapperhof 22-24, 50670 Köln, Germany

I stayed at the wonderful 25hours Hotel in Cologne. They have some of the coolest elevators I have ever seen! You don't have to stay here to pay it a visit! Take the elevator up to the rooftop bar or restaurant for views over Cologne and something tasty to eat...

NENI, Köln
Im Klapperhof 22-24, 50670 Köln, Germany

Speaking of tasty places to eat, this is the breakfast set-up at 25hours Hotel. I was lucky enough to enjoy 3 morning's here, filled with pastries, bread, fruits, cheese, eggs, coffee and fresh orange juice! Not only was there plenty to eat, but it was a great place for a photo! I love how beautiful Neni Koln is!

Neni also has an amazing set of outdoor seats on the wrap-around balcony that overlooks the city. We were able to make it just in time for this gorgeous sunset!

Wonder Waffel
Hohenstaufenring 78, 50674 Köln, Germany

Wonder Waffel is the perfect post-dinner pit-stop! We were filled to the brim with Thai food, but couldn't resist this sweet spot, recommended by a local with the convincing line being "John Legend and Chrissy Teigen have been!" We shared a waffle with banana, strawberry and ice cream. It was incredible. They also have milkshakes and pancakes...
 You don't need anymore convincing.

25hours Hotel Koeln The Circle
Im Klapperhof 22-24, 50670 Köln, Germany

Just one more mention of this gorgeous hotel... I loved how well designed the rooms were! I managed to turn the complimentary newspaper and room phone into props for my very own photoshoot. I think we can all agree at this point, this is the only place worth staying in Cologne.

KölnTriangle View
Ottopl. 1, 50679 Köln, Germany

For just €3.00, you can ascend the 2005 built KölnTriangle, for an incredible view over the city and perfect spot for a photo!
"KölnTriangle Cologne View is the public visitor platform on the roof of the KölnTriangle at a height of over 100 meters. Cologne already speaks of the most beautiful view of the cathedral, the city and the surrounding area."

..........

I hope you found this post useful and have a wonderful time exploring Cologne! For more Instagram inspo, check out some of my other "Instagram Guide to..." posts!
